Jeff’s father got him started fishing around age 5, and that love of fishing rubbed off on him and then some. He has been river fishing for a variety of species his whole life, began guiding in Northern California in the late 1990s, and made the move to Alaska in 1998.

With 20+ years of experience on these Alaskan waters, Jeff is a top choice for those who want the fishing trip of a lifetime for salmon, steelhead, trophy trout, or halibut.

Seasonal trips are available May through October aboard a custom-built 20’ river boat and a drift boat, with top-notch fishing gear provided at a reasonable cost.

Trips target different game fish throughout the season in the rivers and bays around Kasilof, Alaska. Local knowledge and proven hotspots help ensure your day on the water is not only exhilarating, but fun and rewarding.

Guide Dane Gorris

I'm Dane Gorris, a lifelong fisherman from Michigan who fell in love with Alaska back in 2007. Since then, I've been guiding fishing trips on the Kenai Peninsula's rivers, particularly the Kenai and Kasilof. During Michigan's off-seasons, I ran a guide service for steelhead fishing. I also hold a Master USCG Merchant Mariner license, allowing me to fish offshore for various species. The Kenai Peninsula's abundant salmon runs and diverse fishing opportunities captured my heart, leading me to make Alaska my permanent home in 2020. Guiding anglers and showcasing the Peninsula's sportfishing treasures is my passion, and I'm excited to continue doing so for years to come.
